Cindy Gelber, LCSW - Psychotherapist

Ms Cindy Gelber is a licensed clinical social worker. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from Seton Hall University and her Masters in Social Work from Yeshiva University. She has over 8 years of experience in a variety of psychiatric and addictive rehabilitative milieus, including inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient. In addition, Ms Gelber has also worked in a domestic violence agency, community outreach program, and private practice. In each of these settings, Ms Gelber has enjoyed working with people in individual, group and family therapy. She has studied a variety of treatment ideologies and combines them based on the individual’s needs.

Ms Gelber has been working with individuals with a variety of mood and anxiety disorders, thought disorders, relationship problems, substance abuse, eating disorders and self-esteem issues.

At Center of Revitalizing Psychiatry, Ms Gelber is currently seeing clients in individual, family and group therapy. Ms. Gelber is running groups and maintaining a caseload in our Intensive Outpatient Program. In addition, she recently started facilitating a weekly Young Adult Group and Adolescent Group.

Ms Gelber uses a warm, interactive and direct style with her clients. She continues to grow in the field and use the support of her peers, supervision and educational trainings to keep up to date on the latest research in the field of Social Work and Psychology.
